Tequila Blanco is also known as silver Tequila. It is made from the purest form of 100% blue agave and is rarely aged for more than a few weeks which is why it is also called white, Plata, platinum, and Tequila Swings.
This slightly sweet Tequila remains pale or silver because it is often freshly distilled rather than spending time during the aging process (hence the name "swing"). Distilled liquor makers age tequila swings for up to two months if a softer spirit is needed from time to time.
