The Tiki forefathers Donn the Beachcomber & Trader Vic had a penchant for blending rums from different countries to use in their original cocktails. As a homage we sourced three different rums from three different countries, distilled to three different proofs to make Nanea.
It exhibits a fragrant nose, full rounded body with wonderfully developed flavors. For the body, we chose a fantastic, light rum from Guatamala that was aged for 2 years in ex-Bourbon barrels. We then added a smaller percentage of three-year aged rum from Guadalupe in the French Caribbean that contributes a round consistency and honeyed caramel tones. The final component is a small percentage of a four-year aged rum from El Salvador that brings spiciness and rich oak accents.
